App Permission Audits

Regularly review permissions under Settings:

• Location: Set to "While Using App" or "Never". Disable "Precise Location" for apps like weather or calculators that only need city-level location.
• Microphone & Camera: Only grant access to communication or recording apps.
• Background App Refresh: Turn off for non-essential apps to save battery and stop background telemetry tracking.

iOS App Tracking Transparency

On iPhone, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track". This blocks cross-app advertising SDK trackers.

Android Privacy Tips

• Use Private DNS setting with a provider like dns.adguard-dns.com to block in-app ads system-wide.
• Review and remove unused app authorizations.
