Finding Your Perfect Sensitivity

The 180-Degree Mousepad Calibration Test!

Constantly changing your sensitivity destroys your brain spatial motor memory. Let us calibrate your natural sweet spot using a structured mousepad test!

Step by Step Sensitivity Calibration Method:

  1. The 180-Degree Distance Test:
  • Place your mouse on the far left edge of your mousepad.
  • Glide your mouse in a smooth line to the far right edge of your mousepad.
  • Your character on screen should execute a full 180-degree turn to look directly behind you (or 270 degrees in tracking shooters).
  • Adjust your in-game sensitivity until your full mousepad sweep matches this distance.
  1. The Strafe Tracking Smoothness Test:
  • Go into a practice range and aim at a stationary target bot head.
  • Walk continuously left and right while trying to keep your crosshair locked on the bot head.
  • If your crosshair lags behind the head: Your sensitivity is slightly too low. Increase by 5 percent.
  • If your crosshair overshoots past the head: Your sensitivity is slightly too high. Decrease by 5 percent.
  1. Locking In Your Setting:
  • Once calibrated, do NOT change your sensitivity for at least 30 days. Sticking to one setting builds deep neurological muscle memory.
