Mouse Sensors, Pads, and Hardware Calibration

Ice Skates for Your Gaming Mouse!

Think of your mousepad like a smooth ice skating rink, and your mouse feet like sharp ice skates!

Hardware Calibration Settings for Flawless Tracking:

  1. Disable Windows Pointer Precision (Mouse Acceleration):
  • Open Windows Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options tab.
  • Uncheck Enhance pointer precision.
  • Mouse acceleration alters crosshair movement based on hand speed rather than physical distance moved, destroying muscle consistency!
  • Enable Raw Input inside game settings so games read sensor data directly.
  1. Set Mouse Polling Rate to 1000Hz or Higher:
  • Open your mouse software (Logitech G HUB, Razer Synapse, or SteelSeries GG).
  • Set Polling Rate to 1000Hz (1ms updates) or 4000Hz/8000Hz if supported. This sends 1000 sensor updates to your PC every single second.
  1. Clean Mouse Skates and Mousepad:
  • PTFE (Teflon) mouse feet collect dust over time, creating sticky static friction.
  • Wipe your mousepad with a damp microfiber cloth to remove oils and dirt, restoring a smooth glide.
