Mouse Sensors, Pads, and Hardware Calibration
Ice Skates for Your Gaming Mouse!
Think of your mousepad like a smooth ice skating rink, and your mouse feet like sharp ice skates!
Hardware Calibration Settings for Flawless Tracking:
- Disable Windows Pointer Precision (Mouse Acceleration):
- Open Windows Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options tab.
- Uncheck Enhance pointer precision.
- Mouse acceleration alters crosshair movement based on hand speed rather than physical distance moved, destroying muscle consistency!
- Enable Raw Input inside game settings so games read sensor data directly.
- Set Mouse Polling Rate to 1000Hz or Higher:
- Open your mouse software (Logitech G HUB, Razer Synapse, or SteelSeries GG).
- Set Polling Rate to 1000Hz (1ms updates) or 4000Hz/8000Hz if supported. This sends 1000 sensor updates to your PC every single second.
- Clean Mouse Skates and Mousepad:
- PTFE (Teflon) mouse feet collect dust over time, creating sticky static friction.
- Wipe your mousepad with a damp microfiber cloth to remove oils and dirt, restoring a smooth glide.
