Head-Height Crosshair Placement and Pre-Aiming

Pointing Your Flashlight Where Enemies Appear!

Imagine walking through a dark hallway holding a flashlight. If you point your flashlight down at the floor, you cannot see who is coming!

Crosshair placement means keeping your crosshair held at head height at all times so when an opponent steps out, your crosshair is already resting on their head!

Golden Rules of Crosshair Placement:

  1. Never Aim at the Ground: Avoid looking down at the floor or feet while walking around the map.
  2. Use Environmental Visual Markers:
  • Use boxes, door handles, wall lines, and texture stripes on maps to judge head height across different elevations.
  1. Pre-Aiming Through Walls:
  • Aim through solid cover directly at common defender doorway angles before stepping out so you do not have to flick when peeking!
