Divide a sequence with / to slow it down

The /4 plays the bracket over 4 cycles (= 8 seconds), so each note is 2s long.

Try adding more notes inside the brackets and notice how it gets faster.

Play one per cycle with < ... >

Angle brackets play one thing per cycle, which is great for long melodies. Add more notes and the tempo stays the same!

<a b c> is really [a b c]/3. <a b c d> is really [a b c d]/4.
